Holding an elected officer to account

All FVSA officers are accountable to FVC students - this is because they were elected into their positions by students to represent the student voice.

Who are elected officers?

  • Student president (FVC student, full-time sabbatical, paid)

  • Vice President (FVC student, full-time sabbatical, paid)

  • Executive Officers (FVC student, part-time volunteer)

What does it mean to hold an officer to account?

If an elected officer is not representing FVC students as they promised, or they have done something which warrants no longer holding their position, then they can be held to account:

  • question elected officers on their manifesto/the work that they do

  • discuss any discrepancies with the FVSA team

  • hold a vote of no confidence (vote them out of office)

More information can be found within the FVSA Constitution.

Confidential emails can be sent to student.association@forthvalley.ac.uk (this email account is monitored by FVSA staff only, not elected officers).
