Vice President Blog – April
Why must time go so quickly! It’s already April and I’m now counting down the weeks I have left in my role as FVSA Vice President.
Here’s a short update on what I’ve been getting up to since my last blog update.
Movement Hour – I really hope you managed to take part in one of the FVC Movement Hour activities that were held over the three campuses on 5th March. Kasia (Student Engagement Co-ordinator) Jaimie (FVSA Administrator) and I were across Alloa and Stirling campuses hosting activities. We would like to thank FVC for allowing us to be part of this fantastic event.
Student Mental Health Agreement – The new FVSA/FVC Student Mental Health Agreement was launched 13th March alongside an event hosted by FVSA team members Kasia & Jaimie. Please follow – here to read the article. Student mental health is something I hold very close to my heart, and I am so proud to be a part of this launch.
Student Awards – Things are moving forward at a very exciting and positive pace. Kasia & Jaimie are working extremely hard behind the scenes with input from me when needed. I love the FVSA Student Awards, the event fills me with so much happiness and joy and it’s definitely up there as one of my favourite parts of my Vice President role. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon.
Think Positive – I continue to attend Think Positive forums to network, and keep up to date, with Colleges and Universities across Scotland and to discuss our approach to topics that affect student mental health. I find these meetings extremely informative and worthwhile.
And, as always, lots going on behind the scenes:
