A crucial activity of the Student Association is representing students’ opinions on their learning experience, and their views on the quality of teaching and learning. The Education Officer actively engages with students to ensure that the Association's goals around teaching and learning are achieved, both at a local and national level. The Education Officer role is varied: supporting Class Representatives; gathering student feedback; and enhancing the overall student experience. The Education Officer ensures students’ voices are represented, attending relevant meetings and events to promote education-related themes. 

This role involves representing student perspectives on environmental and sustainability matters, and promoting the Student Association's environmental initiatives. The Student Association focuses on local and national representation, student engagement, and enhancing the overall student experience. The Environmental Officer is involved in driving ethical and environmental responsibility, organising events for sustainability awareness, and collaborating with staff to monitor environmental impacts. Additionally, they attend relevant meetings and events to advance environmental themes.

The Diversity & Inclusion Officer roles are crucial in advocating for the voices of underrepresented student groups, driving positive and equitable changes within both the Student Association and the College. The Student Association prioritises representing students and enhancing their overall student experience. Their responsibilities include collaborating with student groups to ensure their perspectives are accurately reflected in policies. The Officers contribute to the ideas the FVSA takes forward regarding equalities and inclusion, and they actively participate in various meetings, championing diversity and helping to create an inclusive environment for all students. Two positions are available, with one requiring self-identification as a female/non-binary student, emphasising inclusivity and representation.

The Welfare Officer is an advocate for student welfare matters, both within the College and the wider community. They are  responsible for the overseeing of activities that relate to student financial support, employment campaigns, and accommodation issues. They play a vital role in shaping the ideas FVSA takes forward to promote student welfare. The role is essential in promoting student welfare and ensuring a positive College experience for all. The Welfare Officer attends relevant meetings and events.

The Wellbeing Officer represents student perspectives on physical, mental, and sexual health. Aligned with the Student Association's mission, you'll engage with students and listen to their views on how to improve their student experience. Their responsibilities include: creating and distributing welfare information; promoting awareness campaigns; and improving mental health and wellbeing resources in collaboration with College staff. The role is essential in promoting student welfare, attending relevant meetings and events.
